HOW I GOT TO PENNSYLVANIA

2005 Acura Cars, RL, TL, TSX, RSX and RSX Type-S, NSX, and MDX - Seeing a new Acura in your driveway will be easy to get used to. The Acura philosophy has always been about engineering -- applying precision and ingenuity to mechanical challenges, and in the process, enriching the way driving feels.

1995 Acura Integra - 200,000 Miles

Ken Leonard's 1995 Acura Integra at 200,000 miles

Dear Acura,

My 1995 Integra turned 200,000 miles on May 10, 2005.

<--- Here it is on the morning of May 11, at about 200,005 miles.

To celebrate this mileage milestone, I drove the car 800 miles round trip to/from Pennsylvania on May 11 and back on May 15.

Here it is in Jimmy's driveway in Pennsylvania at arrival on May 11.  -->

This car starts every day, usually on the second crank (I take about four).  The car still brings me hiking and camping, along twisty and snowy roads in Vermont to Mellotron Professor Jerry Korb's house, and even accidentally on I95 through the Bronx (never again!).  It has been known to transport two Mellotrons.  Yes, there's some rust, the radio antenna is hurting, the heater-A/C temperature lever sticks, and the front end is a little loose, but I have far worse problems at not nearly the same mileage.

When it's time for a new car, I'll bring my Mellotron by the dealership to make sure it'll fit.

Thank you,

OK, let's get a look at the work we did on the Medeskitron!  -->
