|   Airplay Wow...it's really neat when the host of a radio show would like to
play your material for others to hear.  I have been extremely fortunate to have
this privilege, once back in 2001, again in 2003, in 2005 with the
release of "Improvised Waves", and

in 2006 as
Avaruusromua salutes the Mellotron!  And 2007 doesn't disappoint...and
then some after that...

 |    On February 22, 2001, Patient Pondering, TellTale, and a demo
I recorded received airplay on the progressive rock and electronic music radio
show Avaruusromua on Radio
Mafia in Finland. The theme for that night was a special about the Mellotron, and I am very
glad that my tunes and a demo were able to contribute to that show in some
way.  I was able to pick up part of the show on the Internet, and it
sounded like a fabulous endeavor!  I wish I spoke Finnish!  :-) It was very exciting---and humbling---for me to have airplay like this on
such a fine radio show, especially one highlighting an instrument I hold near
and dear.  I don't remember a time when I felt such a sense of
accomplishment.  To say I was grinning ear to ear the evening I heard the
radio show is putting it mildly! I give my sincerest thanks to Jukka for the hard work he does on all
of his shows and for playing my music.  And to Raimo for making the
arrangements and for the encouragement---and for the gifts in the mail,
too!  :-)  Thank you both for allowing me the privilege of reaching
one of my own personal goals of hearing something I've created sent out over the
airwaves to many listeners.  And having it included in a Mellotron show is
really more icing on the cake for me! THANK YOU JUKKA AND RAIMO from me---and from Mellotron #805.  :-) ...kl...Feb 25, 2001 |
